EC Workshop
EC Workshop Implications of the TSE Roadmap on Risk Perception and Risk Communication in Europe
A risk management workshop on risk perception and risk communication of TSEs in general and on the TSE Roadmap in particular was held in Brussel on 23rd November 2009.
The focus of the workshop was on the risk perceptions of European stakeholders in regard to proposed relaxations of TSE measurements within the TSE Roadmap and what does that mean for good practice in risk communication. The workshop was targeted at representatives from the European Commission and the Member States concerned with TSE risk regulation and TSE risk communication.
In addition to the keynote presentations and presentations given by other TSE risk experts, the workshop was devoted partly to the findings, conclusions and recommendations of the NeuroPrion risk perception & risk communication project - risk perception of stakeholders within five European countries and on EU level - and partly to considering the implications of the study for actual TSE risk management and risk communication.
